Step 1: Take photos
Plants
Landscape

Shows where plant is located compared to other things on your lawn like driveways or gutters.
Whole Plant

Shows whole plant and if diseased shows how it’s spread. like it’s it’s scattered or centralized.
Close up

Shows infected areas (leaves, root, fruits) and symptoms (leaf spots, cankers, discolorations) that identify problems.
Bugs
Different Angles




Pictures of intact bugs (Not Crushed). Take pictures from different angles like top, bottom, side, leg). Remember that in focus pictures from far way can be zoomed but Blurry close-ups can’t be fixed.
Size Comparison

Take at least one photo with something for size comparison like a coin, ruler, or pencil.
Damage

Photos of damage to plants caused by bugs can also help to identify them.
