Youth and Families Education is a little different than what used to be. It is a combination of what used to be considered community youth development and family living programs. Youth and families together mean that Jackson County Extension provides education and a connection to the resources of the University System (the Wisconsin Idea) to family members of all ages. Here are a few of the areas in which we provide programming for youth, families and aging family members:
- Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Prevention
- Mental Wellness – including bullying prevention, mindfulness education, stress reduction, and suicide prevention
- Parenting Resources
- Caregiver Resources
- Food Preservation & Food Safety
- and more.
