What is felting? Felting is the process of causing plant or animal fibers to interlock using different methods. In this club we will look at the method of needle felting and wet felting and the different fibers that can be used. During the SPIN club sessions we will be making different felted projects covering: 2-D needle felting, 3-D needle felted sculpture, wet felting, combining both methods, wet felting a vessel. If there is a second set of sessions we will cover 3-D needle felting over a wire armature, wet felting a luminary, wet felting soap, wet felting a hat, and wool painting. The Jackson County 4-H Felting SPIN club is led by Kelly Emerson and if you have any questions please feel free to contact her at email@example.com.
